The Smart Technology Behind AVIOTEC

The AVIOTEC 8000i IR captures and analyzes live footage containing high-quality images for signs of fire and smoke. They consist of intelligent AI algorithms that have been extensively pre-trained and tested to accurately analyze video footage with the help of integrated neural networks.

They detect the difference between real fires and false alarm scenarios within seconds. Alarms are only triggered when actual flame, smoke, or smoldering characteristics are detected.

Automatically activated infrared illuminators provide the same standard and detection speed in pitch-black night conditions as in bright daylight or well-lit areas.

Benefits of Choosing AVIOTEC

All-in-One Solution for Rapid Fire Detection

A video camera with 4-megapixel image resolution, lens, infrared illuminator for nighttime monitoring, and IP67 weather-resistant housing are all combined in a single product. This means AVIOTEC saves valuable time and effort during installation and maintenance. No additional accessories are required for fire safety monitoring.

Highly Resistant to False Alarms with AI

Deep learning AI algorithms have been specifically trained for various fire risk scenarios. AVIOTEC can analyze video footage within seconds and make a precise distinction between real flames and smoke versus harmless situations. Additional tools are available for further configuration, such as verification time and sensitivity settings to minimize false alarms, and masks that block specific areas from the field of view.

24/7 Continuous Monitoring Indoors and Outdoors

AVIOTEC continues to operate efficiently outside working hours. Infrared illumination automatically activates in low-light and nighttime conditions. For outdoor use, the rugged housing protects the camera and lens from dust, moisture, and freezing. Redundant alarm transmission is available when needed.

Unparalleled Range and Detection Speed

AVIOTEC offers customized and flexible mounting options. The camera detects fires at their source, making this technology superior to common detector technologies that require smoke to first reach the device to trigger an alarm. When Bosch compared its video-based system with existing aspirating smoke detectors in the company's own fire laboratory, it found that the AVIOTEC 8000i IR detected smoke from test fires up to three times faster.*

Redundant Alarm Transmission

Provides the possibility of backup alarm transmission. Additionally, during a network outage, the camera relay transmits fire alarms or issues. This ensures critical alerts are delivered under all conditions.

On-Device Analytics (Edge Computing)

Choose AVIOTEC to keep data processing under your control. Local, camera-based image processing analyzes video sequences for fires without sending data from your application/network. All processing occurs on the device itself.

Highest Quality

The seamless integration of camera, optics, algorithms, and accessories is designed to perform in varying environments, including outdoor applications and low-light conditions. Manufactured to Bosch quality standards.

Applications Where AVIOTEC Overcomes Fire Safety Challenges

Environmental Health and Safety Officer

Industry: Manufacturing

I am responsible for personnel safety, overseeing the production process, and ensuring a reliable fire detection system for highly flammable goods. For effective fire detection, we need to monitor both indoor and outdoor storage areas.

Independent of ceiling height and video footage, AVIOTEC can monitor the production process. The product, mounted in a housing, is resistant to environmental effects and helps prevent fires from spreading and becoming destructive by providing very early detection.

Facility Manager

Logistics: Warehouses

For my facility, I need a fire detection system that can detect hazards in large open halls 24/7. This means it must also be reliable during nighttime hours when visible lighting is not used.

The video-based fire detection camera monitors unlit, large warehouse spaces thanks to integrated additional infrared illumination, while also providing extremely clear images even in darkness.

Facility Manager

Parking: e-Mobility

Increasing e-mobility requires more and more charging stations. As a facility manager, I need to provide both. The ability to recharge batteries and safety for users and facilities.

In case of battery fire, AVIOTEC monitors all types of incidents and reliably reports them.

Security Director

Transportation: Airports and Railways

Due to high ceilings, we cannot monitor our hangar with traditional detection methods because they cause many false alarms and do not respond quickly enough.

With the combination of flame and smoke recognition, AVIOTEC goes beyond video smoke detection, enabling users to detect a fire at a very early stage before it spreads.

Energy Facility Manager

Power Generation

Reliable protection of renewable energy facilities such as photovoltaic plants and their converters and inverters is crucial as power source interruptions must be prevented.

For combustion risks in areas such as solar panel installation on the roof of a large commercial building, AVIOTEC can be configured to detect flames and smoke, facilitating the safety certification that insurance companies require before providing coverage.
